Our Story

It started with one neighbor's birthday cake.

I baked my first cake for a neighbor down the block. She asked for chocolate, three layers, and her daughter's name in pink. I charged her $40 and spent $55 on ingredients.

Word got around the cul-de-sac. Then around the lake. Five years later, we're a proper little bakery on Main, with a wood proofing rack, a Hobart mixer, and a chalkboard of orders that never quite empties.

We still bake the morning of. We still write the names by hand. And the chocolate cake hasn't changed.

What We're Baking

  • Three-tier white wedding cake with fresh peonies and eucalyptus, marble cake stand, side angleMost Ordered

    Custom Tiered Cakes

Send a photo of what you're picturing. We'll figure out the rest — tiers, flavor, the spelling of your kid's name.

  • Buttercream birthday cake with colorful sprinkles and a single lit candle, side angle, warm light

    Birthday Buttercream

  • Assorted mini desserts and cake pops arranged on a wooden serving board, overhead view

    Dessert Platters

Twelve pieces. Six flavors. Good luck picking a favorite — most people just put one of each on a plate and call it dinner.

  • Freshly baked sourdough loaf on a wooden cutting board with scattered flour, overhead

    Fresh Morning Bread

Pulled from the oven at 6 AM. Sourdough on Tuesday and Friday, brioche on Saturday, milk bread every day we're open.

    Catering Boxes

Perfect for office mornings — assorted pastries, cookies, a small loaf, and a jar of our raspberry jam. Feeds about ten.

    Wedding Cakes

Quiet, ivory, lots of fresh flowers. We do about one a weekend, May through October. Book early — June fills by February.

How It Works

Four steps from idea to doorstep.

No portal, no app. Just a text and a photo and a delivery window.

  1. Send the photo

Text us what you're picturing. Pinterest screenshots welcome. So are kids' crayon drawings.

  2. We quote the cake

You'll get a flavor list, a price, and a delivery slot back within the day — usually within an hour if it's before 4 PM.

  3. We bake the morning of

Everything goes in the oven the day you pick up. Nothing sits overnight. The buttercream goes on at sunrise.

  4. Pickup or delivery

Pickup at the shop on Main, or free delivery anywhere in Prior Lake. South Metro delivery is a flat $15.

Got a celebration on the calendar?

We ask for 48 hours on a custom cake, a week on catering, and as much notice as you can give us on weddings. Text is fastest.

What our neighbors say

Ordered a last-minute birthday cake on a Thursday afternoon. Picked it up Saturday morning, and it was the prettiest thing I've ever brought to a kid's party. My daughter cried, in a good way.

Been getting our weekly sourdough here for almost two years. The Tuesday loaf is the best bread in the South Metro and I will fight anyone on it. Parking's easy too.

Tried three other bakeries before this one for our wedding. Nassu was the only place that actually listened to what we wanted instead of pulling out a binder. The cake was unreal.
